From Wayne Purser of 365 Things to Do in Edmonds, here’s a chance to unclutter your house or garage: Edmonds Lutheran Church at 23525 84th Ave. W. is hosting a free recycling event from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12.
Items you are welcome to bring for recycling include:
– Appliances – washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc.
– Electronics – televisions, stereos, etc.
– Scrap metal, machinery – circuit boards, etc.
– Computers (secure data destruction) – PCs, laptops, printers, monitors, etc.
– Batteries – car, computer, etc.
– Medical equipment
– Ink and toner
– Cell phones
– Bicycles
– Vehicles
This is a great opportunity to safely dispose of broken and obsolete electronics through 1 Green Planet, which will have trucks in the church parking lot. The proceeds that 1 Green Planet derives from recycled raw materials fund their operations and benefit many charities. Donations to Edmonds Lutheran Church are also being accepted during the event.
This is a good deal most places do not take referators because of the freeon, they will take them but it usually cost
This free event is a great way to get rid of your junk. Go to 1 Green Planet website (www.1greenplanet.org) for more information.
I am disappointed that I didn’t learn of this event until today and I can’t participate.
