Two opportunities to hear Mayor Cooper’s State of City Address Friday

Mike Cooper

Edmonds Mayor Mike Cooper will deliver his 2011 State of the City Address this Friday, March 4, and citizens have two separate opportunities to hear it:

9 a.m. at the Edmonds Senior Center, 220 Railroad Ave., where for $5 you can buy a breakfast of pancakes and strawberry compote, scrambled eggs with ham, sausage gravy and biscuits, juice, and coffee or tea.

5 p.m. at the Edmonds City Council Chambers, Public Safety Complex, 250 5th Ave. N., which will be open to the public and city workers.

The mayor, who was appointed last summer by the city council to finish out the term of former Edmonds Mayor Gary Haakenson, is planning to run for election to the post this fall.
