What happened at the Edmonds Port Commission meeting Monday

The Port Commission of the Port of Edmonds held a regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 31 and took the following actions:

– Authorized the purchase of two boat sewage pumpout systems to replace ones that have reached the limit of their useful life. Up to 75 percent of the cost will be borne by a grant from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission.

– Approved a change order in the contract for repair and maintenance of M and N docks. It authorizes changes to certain electrical components that have deteriorated beyond repair.

– Heard reports on fourth quarter 2010 operations of the marina and the Port’s Harbor Square Business Complex.

The next regularly scheduled Port Commission meeting will be a workshop session at 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 14, in the Port Commission meeting room.

The commission will also hold a Commission/Staff Retreat Wednesday, Feb. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to discuss and review Port policies, Finance and general operations.  The meeting will take place in the Cascade meeting room,  120 W. Dayton St.
