Congratulations to My Edmonds News columnist Michael Schindler, who has been named by ParentMap magazine as a 2011 Superhero for Washington Families. The announcement appears in the monthly magazine’s April issue.
Schindler, a Navy veteran who writes the weekly Edmonds Military Wire, was honored for his work with Operation Military Family, an Edmonds-based organization he founded to strengthen military marriages and families.
He is also a motivational speaker and author of Operation Military Family: How to Strengthen Your Military Marriage and Save Your Family, runs a website, operationmilitaryfamily.com, and relationship seminars, events, and programs for military families.
Schindler lives in Edmonds with his wife and two daughters.
Also named as a Superhero in this month’s issue is former Edmonds resident Karen Bryant, CEO of the Seattle Storm .
