Edmonds Bartell Drugs collecting teddy bears for children who need a hug

You can help give “bear hugs” to children in stressful or emergency situations by dropping off a teddy bear at the Edmonds Bartells, which is participating in the Annual Warm 106.9 FM Teddy Bear Patrol campaign through March 31.

Designed to help bridge the communication gap between a frightened child and an adult stranger, the program puts a teddy bear in the hands of community police departments, hospitals and emergency response teams so they may give the bear to a child involved in a stressful situation.

A number of donation options are available including:

– Purchase the Bartell Teddy Bear for $7 and Bartell Drugs will donate a second bear to the campaign.

– Make a monetary donation toward the purchase of a bear.

– Donate a new or gently used bear, under 12 inches.
