Edmonds PD involved in pursuit of suspect in Mountlake Terrace Tuesday

From our friends at MLTnews comes a crime story that took place Tuesday night at the Lakeside Apartments involving an assist by the Edmonds Police Department..

Mountlake Terrace police units responded along with Lynnwood and Edmonds to assist the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office with the containment, MLTnews said. A county deputy was in a pursuit which ended up in the parking lot in front of the “J” building of the Lakeside Apartments. The suspect, who had a felony Department of Corrections warrant, had fled on foot and entered a unit in the “J” building.

A substantial amount of cash and narcotics were found stashed near a tree where the suspect had fled past. A deputy made contact with a female in J-202 who confirmed that the suspect was inside. She also stated that he had 3 firearms in the residence.

After about an hour of negotiating with the suspect, he eventually came outside and he was taken into custody by Snohomish County Sheriff.

MLTnews is following up with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office and will provide updates if more information is received.

  1. This is near the temporary Mountlake Terrace City Hall/Golf Savings Bank building. Lake Ballinger is on the other end of MLT.

    1. Thanks for the geography correction, David, as I misread the address. I’ll adjust the story to reflect it.
