The Lady Mavs softball team mounted a comeback to maintain its perfect 7-0 record, beating Glacier Peak 12-8 Thursday.
Down 8-6 in the bottom of the sixth, the Mavs finally got their offense in gear as they batted around. A leadoff single from Meadowdale’s Ashley Luberts led to an RBI double by Tiffany Dewayne to make it 8-7. After a groundout moved Dewayne to third, another from Nicole Steg drove home Dewayne to tie it at 8. Lily Paschal hit a single and Alyssa Reuble followed with a huge two-run home run to right-center field to give the Mavs a 10-8 lead. Two more runs scored after Kylee Studioso and Ashley Brooke each hit singles, and Kaylee Hagen drove Studioso and Brooke home.
On the mound in the seventh, Studioso had an easy inning, giving the Mavs a win.
Meadowdale — ranked No. 6 in The Seattle Times statewide 3A Softball poll — play again this Thursday at home at 3:30 p.m.

what a joy it is to see you young ladies succeed at such a high level..it seems like yesterday when Kylee and Alyssa were learning and honing their skills at the fledgling girl’s fastpitch at Pacific Little League..to see the fruit of your labor and the time and energy you have put in pay off is fantastic! Keep up the great work and hope to see you at the ballfield!
