Meadowdale girls get first tennis win, beat Lynnwood 5-2

Meadowdale’s girls tennis team won its first match of the season Tuesday, beating Lynnwood 5-2 at home.

On Wednesday, the Lady Mavs travel to Oak Harbor and on Thursday they finish up the remainder of Monday’s rained-out

matches at Mariner High School.

Singles: Josie Dow (M) d. Hannah Ham 6-0, 6-1; Isabel Reeb (M) d. Rita Kong 6-3, 6-0; Cristina Borson (L) d. Kayleigh Barrett 7-5, 6-4; Andra Borson (L) d. Breanna Sankey7-6 (7-5), 0-6.

  2. I would be interested in seeing the high school boys play either edmonds or meadowdale they practice in the afternoons at the club, from what I saw there pretty good , that tennis is pretty addicting

  3. Mike: Boys play in the fall, girls in the spring. If you catch a number-one singles match between two of the better area girls programs, like E-W-Jackson (4A) or Meadowdale-Shorecrest (3A), you’ll be impressed.
