In a battle of cross-town rivals, Edmonds-Woodway scored three runs in the first inning on its way to a 6-3 win over Meadowdale. E-W’s Alex Hole went 3-for-3 with a double and the Mavericks’ Tyler McGuire was 1-for-1 with a home run and two RBI. Warriors’ pitcher Derek Callahan went five innings, recording 10 strikeouts. He gave up one hit, two walks and one earned run.

Meadowdale 10, E-W 1
Meadowdale pitcher Kylie Studioso gave up just one earned run on three hits on her way to a complete game Monday. Studioso had 20 strikeouts, giving up only three walks. Studioso also contributed behind the plate, going 2-for-4 with one RBI. The Mavericks also got contributions from Lily Paschal (3-for-4 with three runs), Shannon Haukap (2-for-4 with three runs) and Alyssa Reuble (2-for-4, two runs and two RBIs).
Edmonds-Woodway 5, Shorecrest 4
Katelyn Lafferty struck out seven in seven innings and also hit a three-run homer for the Warriors. E-W’s Kristin Hayes went 2-for-4 with a double.
