Special delivery: American Brewing uses old fire truck to fill keg orders

American Brewing Co., which opened the doors to its brewery and tasting room in Edmonds last weekend, celebrated another milestone on Thursday: delivering their first kegs to business customers — in an old European fire truck.

According to American Brewing’s Julie Anderson, owner Neil Fallon and brewmaster Skip Madsen loaded up the kegs in Mercedes Benz fire truck that Madsen purchased specifically for that purpose. “I think at one time he was planning on owning his own brewery and when he came across this truck, knew he had to have it for delivering kegs,” she said.

The brewery delivered one keg each of the brewery’s American Blonde and Breakaway IPA to The Inn at Piper’s Creek in Seattle, and also made deliveries to Seattle’s Naked City Brewery and Burien’s Bison Creek Pizza, Anderson said.
