Bill the Butcher now reporting May or June opening in Edmonds

Bill the Butcher Marketing Diretor Alan Brown knows that everyone in Edmonds is anxiously awaiting the opening of the local butcher chain’s Edmonds store, which has been sporting a “Coming Soon” sign for several months in the empty Fourth and Main storefront.

The latest news, confirmed by Brown Thursday, is that the store will open in late May or early June.  And for anyone seeking a job, Bill the Butcher is also hiring  employees for the Edmonds store, which features organic and natural meats and local poultry.  (Job seekers should email bill@billthebutcher.com)

As for the delay in opening, Brown said it was due to the need to shift employees — originally assigned to remodel the Edmonds store — to the construction of a Seattle-based commissary, which will serve as a central distribution and receiving center. As soon as that work is done, employees will be re-assigned to Edmonds, he added.

Bill the Butcher, which opened in Woodinville in 2009,  has six locations in King County.
