City of Edmonds meetings this week: Council, planning board, levy committee

Three City of Edmonds meetings are on the schedule this week for those who want to stay on top of the latest government news:

On Tuesday, the City Council will continue its discussion about the possibility of placing a levy before voters in either August or November. Councilmembers will also hold a public hearing on proposed changes to regulations governing home-based businesses, including shifting review of such applications from a hearing examiner to staff and establishing new rules for urban farmers and artist studios. More details can be found on the agenda here.

On Wednesday, there will be a joint meeting of the Edmonds Planning Board and the Economic Development Commission to hear a University of Washington presentation on alternate concepts coming out of the Five Corners/Westgate Special District Study and discussion of code-related items. That meeting will be from 6-8 p.m. in the Brackett  Room, third floor of City Hall, 121 5th Ave. N., Edmonds

On Thursday, the Edmonds Citizens Levy Committee will meet starting at 5:30 p.m. to discuss its recommendation to the City Council and possible next steps, also in the City Hall Brackett Room.
