The third-ranked Warriors have lost only four games this season, and all of them have been to Jackson, which is ranked number-one in the state in the latest 4A coaches poll.
Jackson pitcher Sam Brown shut down E-W’s normally potent offense, as the Warriors’ top four hitters went 0-for-12 against Brown and relief pitcher Jason Todd.
The Timberwolves (13-1 league, 16-2 overall) took the Wesco South crown with their victory Thursday. The Warriors (8-4, 12-4 overall) are in second place.
Meadowdale 6, Everett 5
Leading the Mavericks was Sam Thomas, who hit two home runs in the Wesco South 3A win. Torin Dooley was the winning pitcher for Meadowdale, now 5-6 league, 6-10 overall.
