Edmonds Arts Commission selling promotional posters

The Edmonds Arts Commission is selling signed and numbered posters that have been designed through the years to promote Edmonds and attract visitors to the community.

Six posters created since 1994 are being offered at $15 each (almost half price). Created by regional artists, they feature scenes such as the Car Show, the waterfront, Gracies’ gazebo, the log cabin, and boats in the marina. The posters make great gifts and most are standard sizes for easy framing.

Until 2004 the Edmonds Arts Commission produced a limited-edition poster biannually to promote Edmonds and regional artists with a competition to select the image that best represented the City.  The posters featured work by artists Karran West (1986, not available), Joan Reeves (1990, out of print), Donna Watson (1992, out of print), Ken Duffin (1994 & 2000), Alice Owen (1996), Carol Stecher Jones (1997), Beverly Fotheringham (2002), and Hung Nguyen (2004). The ones on sale now are the six produced between 1994-2004.

Proceeds from the sale of these posters benefit the Tourism Promotion Fund which supports promotion of events and performances by other arts organizations in Edmonds.

The posters may be viewed and purchased Monday through Saturday at the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main Street in Edmonds, or view them at: www.ci.edmonds.wa.us/ArtsCommission/posters.stm.  Call 425-771-0228 or 771-0230 for more information.
