Man’s body found south of Picnic Point County Park near Edmonds

The body of a man has washed ashore just south of Picnic Point County Park, the Snohomish County Sheriff’s office reported Wednesday night.

According to spokeswoman Rebecca Hover, the sheriff’s office received a call just after 5 p.m. from a train conductor who spotted a possible body as the train traveled along the beach.

Deputies who responded to the scene don’t believe the man, who so far is unidentified, was hit by a train and there is no sign of foul play at this time, Hover said.

Deputies are in contact with Seattle Police/Harbor Patrol following a report of a man who went missing off a boat last night in the Seattle area.
