Meadowdale 2, Mount Vernon 0
In a true pitcher’s duel, Meadowdale’s Sam Triece pitched a one-hitter and struck out 10 as the Mavericks won their first-round 3A District 1 playoff game. Scoring for Meadowdale were John Boon with an RBI single in the first inning and Sam Herzer with an RBI single in the seventh. Mount Vernon starter Richard Dutton struck out 12 batters in the loss.SOFTBALL

Edmonds-Woodway 18, Mariner 5, (5 innings)
The Wariors were led by Brooklyn Bailey, who went 2-for-4, including a grand slam and a double, and had five RBI. Winning pitcher Katelyn Lafferty went 5-for-5 with three doubles and two RBI.
