The Mavericks lost in five innings to the Thunderbirds, who are now 20-2 on the season and 15-0 against Wesco 3A teams. Meadowdale (9-13) had already qualified for the State 3A baseball tournament and will play next Saturday at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue.

The Warriors lost to the Bulldogs in a Class 4A District 1-2 play-in game, ending their season after a District run that saw them eliminating Wesco powers Marysville-Pilchuck and Snohomish.
