Our online news partner The Seattle Times reports that a 22-year-old Edmonds Community College student was stabbed during a robbery on campus Tuesday morning.

Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions told our friends at Lynnwood Today that the student was stabbed in the face around 9:30 a.m. in Alderwood Hall. The victim, a Lynnwood man, was taken to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Sessions told The Times.

The suspect, described as a thin black male with a shaved head or a short haircut, was wearing a black coat, black jeans and a possibly blue-and-white plaid shirt. He was carrying a black backpack, according to police. The assailant fled the area, and a K-9 search was unsuccessful.
