Edmonds Police Blotter: Do you know where your garden gnome is?

Restaurants, guard your beer kegs and citizens, protect your garden gnomes! That’s the takeawy from the latest police reports. But for starters, we have a serious report of a scam that is taking advantage of unsuspecting grandparents.

April 20, 7700 block of 203rd Street Southwest: A woman was convinced via a phone scam to wire $10,868 via Western Union to people in Spain–  supposedly to help her grandson out of jail/legal troubles in Mexico.

April 26, 100 block of Main Street: At around 8:20 a.m.,  suspect(s) entered a locked storage area and stole a beer keg.

April 26, 500 block of Main Street: At around 9:50 a.m. unknown suspect(s) took four empty beer kegs from the loading dock of a restaurant.

April 26, 7400 block of 176th Street Southwest: An adult female drove into a rockery in Edmonds and then drove off. The female was intoxicated and arrested for DUI.

April 28, 600 block of Sunset Avenue North: A man was paid $5,500 to begin metal work on a house. The man never showed up and is suspected of taking all the supplies for the job that were purchased by the homeowner.

April 28, 22000 block of 106th Avenue West: At around 3 p.m., two backpacks containing heroin and drug paraphernalia were found in woods during a K9 track for a burglary suspect.

April 28, 9600 block of Firdale Avenue: A  man reported that his wallet fell out of his pocket outside of Colonial Pantry restaurant and was possibly picked up and stolen by a male passerby.

April 29, 21600 block of Highway 99: A male skateboarder intentionally hit a car with a skateboard, damaging the vehicle.

 April 29, 21100 block of Highway 99: A security camera stolen from the back of Kafe Neo.

April 29, 300 block of 6th Avenue North: Four juveniles admitted to vandalizing the stadium bleachers of a local play field by spray painting on the walls of the stands.

April 30, 7400 block of 215th Street Southwest: A resident reported the theft of garden gnome from yard.

April 30, 7400 block of 220th Street Southwest: A driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license and in possession of drug paraphernalia.

May 1, 7300 block of 210th Street Southwest: A domestic disturbance investigation reveals a DUI hit-and-run that occurred in Lynnwood.
