The City of Edmonds Tree Board is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 5, at Edmonds City Hall Brackett Room (3rd floor). The public is welcome to attend the meeting.

Can somebody explain what the Tree Board does? What happens at a Tree Board meeting?
Here’s the summary from the My Edmonds News City Council meeting report last September, when the board was created:
“In other action, the Council approved an ordinance creating a seven-member citizen Tree Board, to be appointed by the City Council. The board will be charged with tree preservation and protection, and will also work toward securing Tree City USA designation for the city.”
That’s exactly what I wanted to know. Thanks!
