Updated to include date change for upcoming choir concert
Both choir groups from Edmonds-Woodway High School — Bel Canto and Mello-Aires — competed at the Columbia Basin College Jazz Unlimited in April, and Mello-Aires won its division.
In addition, the following students were recognized:
Outstanding Rhythm Section: Amanda Cowan, Cory Franklin, Henry Welch and Zach Clute
Soloists: Belina Seare, Kelila Gottlieb, Ashlyn Nagel and Cory Franklin
The Spring Vocal Jazz Night will feature these student musicians and others next week. The event takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8 in the Edmonds-Woodway Theater, 7600 212th St. S.W.
