Floretum members dig deep to help brighten city street corners

On a recent sunny Tuesday morning, the City was abuzz with dirt, shovels, smiles and many plants as the Edmonds Floretum Garden Club provided its annual assistance to City of Edmonds Parks and Recreation staff in planting street corners. Special thanks should be given to the following Floretum members:  Jan Wilkins, Joyce Johnson, Kathy Bowman, Cheryl Stewart, Maxine Mitchell, Crane Stavig, Audrey Caraker, Barbara Chase, Autumn Farber, Patti Greene, Kathleen Foley and Linda Murray, as well as Dolores Dean who came along  to offer moral support.  The corners at 5th and Main never looked better and afterward the volunteers were treated to coffee and donuts at City Hall.  The Edmonds Floretum Garden Club is on hiatus for the summer but you can obtain more information on the website at https://www.edmondsfloretumgardenclub.org/
