Shredding sensitive documents is one way to reduce your risk of becoming an identity theft victim. The Washington State Office of the Attorney General has scheduled another “shredathon” in Edmonds Saturday, May 7 (there was one last Saturday as well) from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 1st Security Bank, 620 Edmonds Way (Hwy 104).

Participants are asked to not bring stiff metal, plastic bags, DVDs or other items that will jam the shredder. There is a limit of two file boxes or three grocery bags of documents per person.

For a complete list of shredathon events, visit the State Attorney General’s website.
