The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office reported today that the Level 3 sex offender they were seeking for failure to register actually died two months ago in Oregon.

Charles Lee Johnson had a $50,000 warrant for his arrest, but the Sheriff’s Office received a telephone tip that he had died March 19 in Tillamook, Oregon.  “We don’t have any other information regarding the circumstances of his death, nor do we know how long he had been in Oregon before he died,” Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said in an email Monday morning.
