Edmonds Military Wire: Keeping the romance alive during deployments

By Michael Schindler

I have a confession. When the Dating Divas first reached out, I was sure that what they were doing didn’t apply to me – after all, I’m married and I left “dating” behind a long time ago. And yet, my wife and I have date nights….what was I thinking??

Ladies, I’m sure your husbands aren’t nearly as short-sighted as I am, but there are some of us out there who — while we will go on a “date night” — don’t considering it “dating our wife.” Don’t ask me why that is – what is even more bizarre is our team works to strengthen relationships and we recommend “dating your spouse.” I need medication, I know.

Bottom line: Dating Divas have it going on. Here’s something very cool that the Dating Divas are doing in July: They are dedicating a FULL week to posts for the spouses of deployed service members that will give tips and ideas on how to keep the spark alive during deployments.

The Divas, some very busy wives and moms, are devoted to their husbands and love to keep the romance alive – and guys, if you spend any time on this site, you will find excellent suggestions that will help even the “expert.”

Check them out — I give them a thumbs up — and go date your spouse this weekend!
