Edmonds-Woodway hires new boys basketball coach

Edmonds-Woodway High School has hired Steve Call as the new head boys’ basketball coach, E-W Athletic Director Julie Stroncek said today.

Call has been the head boys’ coach at Shoreline Christian for the past three seasons and prior to that was a varsity assistant coach at Juanita High School. He also coached AAU with the Seattle Magic.

“We are excited to welcome Steve Call as our new boys’ basketball coach and look forward to what Steve has to offer the Edmonds-Woodway boys’ basketball program,” Stroncek said. “He brings a great amount of experience as both a player and coach and comes highly recommended for his knowledge of the game and being a student of the game who continually seeks to learn more.”

Call replaces former E-W boys coach Todd Rubin, who resigned his position after three seasons to take a job as assistant coach at Northwest University in Kirkland.
