Madrona School hosting tribute to Gaylynne Ullerich Saturday

Madrona K-8 School in Edmonds are hosting a tribute presentation, memorial garden ribbon cutting and video presentation in honor of the late physical education teacher Gaylynne Ullerich, who died in a car crash Jan. 15.

The daylong event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school, also includes a bicycle rodeo course in honor of the bicycle-riding teacher, who always encouraged her students to be active.

Guest speakers, singers and a video presentation will occur at 10 a.m. in the cafeteria, followed by the Memorial Garden ribbon cutting. REI will be present to offer minor bike tune-ups while Cascade Bike Club will sponsor the bicycle rodeo course.

Parking is available in the main parking lot and surrounding neighborhood. The school is located at 9300 236th St. S.W.
