The City of Edmonds Public Works Department reminds Edmonds drivers that a work crew will be out painting lane markings over the next couple months. The process is very weather dependent and the department notes (and we would agree!) that it seems as though the dry-weather window gets smaller every year.
This job requires a crew to paint the street lines while the road remains open to traffic, said Tod Moles, the city’s street/storms manager, and crew members will place signs and cones to indicate the possibility of wet paint. “When you encounter this activity, please be patient and do not pass the paint truck,” Moles said. “The crew is doing everything they can to reduce the inconvenience on the motoring public. Your cooperation will provide a safer working condition for the crew as well as a better looking outcome on the road.”
