Scholarship opportunity for high school graduates pursuing natural sciences

Laura Spehar of the Edmonds Backyard Wildlife Habitat & Sustainability Project notes this scholarship opportunity for graduating seniors: The Paul Ancich Memorial Scholarship, established in 2011 by the Washington State Regional Fisheries Enhancement Group Coalition in honor of Paul G. Ancich, a lifelong commercial fisherman and a passionate advocate of the conservation of wild salmon.

Graduating high school seniors accepted to a two- or four-year college or university and planning to pursue a course of study in the natural sciences are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is July 31, 2011.  Contact SFEG for application requirements at 360-336-0172 or email sfeg@skagitfisheries.org.
