Construction groundbreaking for Edmonds Interurban Trail link this morning

The public is invited to attend the construction groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. today, Tuesday, for the Interurban Trail Project that will complete the missing Edmonds link of the 30-mile regional trail that runs from North Seattle to Everett. The ceremony will be at the corner of 76th Avenue West and McAleer Way at 10 a.m.

The $2.4 million project, which will run from the intersection of Highway 104 and 76th Avenue West to 228th Street in Mountlake Terrace, is expected to be complete by early 2012.

  1. It is really happening, saw it in person during my most recent sunrise solo microride, and it looks to be an extraordinary section bordering on two lakes on the way to the posh Shoreline section.
Thank you Edmonds from a dedicated rider and bicycle commuter!
