Congratulations to Edmonds’ own American Brewing Co., which is celebrating its five-month anniversary this month with another milestone: the news that it is bottling its own beer.

According to a note sent last week by American Brewing’s Julie Anderson, you will be able to buy the brewing company’s favorite Breakaway IPA in a grocery store near you soon, with other brews to follow.

The mobile bottler arrived at the Harbor Square-area brewery Monday, and “you will be able to walk away with your own bottle of Breakaway IPA beginning this Wednesday, July 27,” according to a post on American Brewing’s Facebook page. The tasting room opens at 3 p.m.

And for those who want to purchase it in stores, Anderson has the following update:

“We are in the process of filling out the paperwork required to be on the shelves of several grocery stores, but this week you can find them at the Thriftway on Ballinger, the QFC in Bothell and next week at the QFC in Bellevue. The price will be determined by the stores, but should retail for around $4 per bottle.

The 22-ounce bottles will also be sold in the tasting room at $4.50, which includes tax, Anderson said.
