Edmonds mayoral candidate Dave Earling on Monday announced he has received the backing of the Edmonds Police Officers Association.
“I deeply appreciate the endorsement from the men and women who are among our most trusted and valued public servants. We share the same concern that City government can’t continue on its current path,” Earling said.
Incumbent Mayor Mike Cooper announced on his Facebook page Friday that he received the endorsement of the Cascade Bicycle Club. It’s the second major endorsement Cooper has received from an environmental organization; on July 16, he received the support of the Snohomish County Conservation Voters. Other recent endorsements listed by Cooper include several unions; among them are SEIU Healthcare local 1199NW, Aerospace Machinists 751, Firefighters Locals 1828 and 1760, IBEW Local 191, Inland Boatmen’s Union and the Northwest Washington Building and Trades Council.
Earling has been endorsed by the Washington State Council of County and City Employees as well as three former Edmonds mayors and 13 current and former mayors across Snohomish County, as well as a number of current and former local elected officials.
