Edmonds artist Andy Eccleshall completed his hidden treasure, “The Brothers,” on the Papery wall Sunday, the second of five Edmonds Mural Society murals to be painted on downtown walls this summer. Sue Coccia’s “Heron” was completed earlier on the Housewares wall.
“This mural was inspired by the breath-taking view we enjoy as that Olympic range mountain peak appears when the clouds part as the sun is going down,” said the Mural Society’s Manya Vee. The mural can be viewed on the east-facing wall of 410 Main Street.
Five murals are planned for this summer. The next will begin around July 27 (depending on the weather) on the west-facing wall at 401 Main Street. It will be painted by Edmonds artist Joel Patience, and will feature a sunset scene with the schooner Adventuress in full sail.
You can see all five murals at www.EdmondsMuralSociety.org. The Edmonds Mural Society is a citizen-driven organization, with all murals completely funded by the proud, art-loving citizens of Edmonds. More information about how you can become a member is also available on the website.
Lovely Andy…you are so talented! I hope we can move out of the bowl eventually!
