Pacific Little League teams advance to state tournaments

Pacific Little League 10 and 11 year old champions.

Congratulations to the three Pacific Little League teams advancing to the state tournaments following victories this week. The league includes baseball and softball players from Edmonds and Lynnwood.

The Boys 10’s All-Stars won the 2011 District 1 Championship, defeating Stilly Valley Wednesday night 9-1. According to the league’s Facebook page, over the course of the tournament, Pacific outscored its opponents 69-7.  The team’s first game in the State Tournament is this Sunday, July 17.

Boys 11’s All Stars defeated Mill Creek 6-5 to win District 1 and also advanced to the State Tournament. The first game is Sunday at Salnave Park in Cheney.

Pacific’s 12u All Star team defeated Mill Creek on Wednesday, 9-7, and now play Alderwood in the championship game Thursday at 6 p.m. for a state berth.

And the Pacific Major girls softball All-Star team won the Washington District 1 Tournament, defeating Mill Creek 3-2.
