Reminder: Edmonds Night Out this Tuesday

The SWAT Unit bus, shown at the 2010 Edmonds Night Out, will be back this year.

Bring the kids and meet your neighbors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday when the Edmonds Police Foundation presents “A Night Out Against Crime” in Edmonds. It’s a day to lock your doors, turn on your porch lights and celebrate our community’s many valuable programs and services. Look for the My Edmonds News table, where you can enter to win a $25 gift certificate from Edmonds pottery studio Glazed & Amazed.

This free community event, brought by the Edmonds Police Foundation, combines family fun with public safety awareness and is possible thanks to the help of local businesses and many volunteers. Meet Edmonds police and fire officials, the K-9 Unit, SWAT Unit, public safety agencies from South Snohomish County, local businesses and non-profit organizations. You’ll have a chance to check out emergencies vehicles, the SWAT Unit’s bus, the K-9 unit police car and the always-popular fire truck.
