Thursday night, July 7, is your opportunity to comment about Community Transit’s plan to cut 80,000 hours – about 20 percent of its service – in February 2012 due to funding shortfalls caused by the economic recession. The public hearing before Community Transit’s Board of Directors on the three service alternatives for the 2012 system change begins at 5 p.m. at Mukilteo’s Rosehill Community Center.
Earlier this month, the Snohomish County transit provider unveiled the service alternatives to the public and began to collect input. Riders have responded by filling out more than 1,500 online comment cards. All comments will be provided to board members later in July as they consider a final service plan.
Rosehill is just off several bus routes (Routes 113, 190, 417 and 880 as well as Everett Transit Route 18).
