Local artists who participated in the Plein Air Edmonds painting event will celebrate their work at an artists’ reception today, Sunday, from 1-4 p.m. at Gallery North, 508 Main St.
Prizes will be awarded for the best submitted paintings and refreshments will be served.
The term “plein air” refers to a painting that is done outside on location. Each of the exhibition artists braved sometimes bad or dubious weather to capture a piece of Edmonds scenery. The result is a colorful collection of paintings done in a variety of mediums and representing familiar places that we call home.
If you can’t make it to today’s reception, the show will run through the month of August.
Real first and last names — as well as city of residence — are required for all commenters.
