Edmonds Floretum Garden Club recently awarded $1,000 horticultural scholarships to three students: Courtney Olander, Marcus Rook and Allison Wilhelm.

Olander, a Shoreline resident, is working toward her technical associate degree in landscape design at Edmonds Community College. Rook, of Seattle, will attend Evergreen State College, majoring in biology and ecology with a focus on forest and natural habitat restoration and conservation. Wilhelm, from Edmonds, is working toward her technical associate degree in ornamental horticulture and landscape design at EdCC.

The Floretum Garden Club, which raises money for scholarships through plant sales, is dedicated to improving horticulture and the environment.
