Edmonds police ask for public’s help in finding Starbucks robber

Edmonds police are seeking a man who robbed the Starbuck’s Coffee at 220th Street Southwest and Highway 99 just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Police were called to the Starbucks at 5:54 p.m. after receiving a report that a white male adult had just approached an employee at the front counter, announced that he was robbing the business and demanded money.

The suspect was described as 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5-7 and 170 pounds, wearing a dark blue or black T-shirt with an abstract, graffiti-like printing on the front and long medium-blue jean shorts, sunglasses, a black Mariners baseball cap on backward and carrying a black and beige EASTPAK backpack.

No weapon was displayed during the robbery.

The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash, which he wrapped inside a newspaper. There were no injuries sustained or damage done during this crime.
