In October 2012, the Edmonds Police Department will celebrate 100 years of service to the community. In preparation, members of the department’s centennial committee are looking for photographs, stories and memorabilia about department and its officers from the City’s earliest years through the 1970s. The centennial committee is working with the Edmonds Museum on a public display intended to run from Aug. 8 through Nov. 12, 2012.
Family members with relatives who were Edmonds police employees during the department’s early years are asked to contact Assistant Chief Gerry Gannon or Detective Sergeant Bob Barker to share their stories, photographs or available memorabilia for the centennial display.
