Primary election results posted Thursday afternoon indicate that just 69 votes now separate incumbent Edmonds City Councilmember Diane Buckshnis and her challenger Bob Wilcox. Buckshnis now has 3,755 votes, or 45 percent, to Wilcox’s 3,824, or 46 percent. That is a slightly narrower margin that yesterday, when Wilcox led by 87 votes.
There was little change in the race for Edmonds mayor, as incumbent Mike Cooper has 39 percent (3,394 votes) compared to challenger Dave Earling’s 53 percent (4,585 votes).
