If you are fond of rocks and minerals, check out the Maplewood Rock and Gem Club’s annual Rock & Mineral Sale, going on from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 pm. Sunday at the Edmonds clubhouse, located at 8802 196th St. S.W.
Admission is free to the 5th annual sale, which features more than 20 dealers selling all kinds of rock, from rough to jewelry. Children are welcome, and each child will receive a free rock.
The Maplewood Rock and Gem Club — founded in 1951 — offers rock polishing and cutting services, and an open shop every Thursday night from 6:30-8:30 p.m. They also rent out the facility for parties.
