Here’s a way to support the Edmonds Food Bank and go to the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe for free this Friday, Sept 2.
Bring three cans of food to one of the four fair gates between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. The food collected will benefit all members of the Snohomish County Food Bank Coalition.
You can also donate directly anytime, as the need for donations continues to grow. “This time of year we are low on everything,” said Mary VanEss of the Edmonds Food Bank. “We always need canned tuna and peanut butter. And we can always use macaroni and cheese, soups and canned vegetables and fruit.
The Edmonds Food Bank (officially known as the Carol Rowe Memorial Food Bank) serves about 1,200 people in 300 families on Tuesdays 50 weeks of the year. It is located downstairs in the Edmonds United Methodist Church, 828 Caspers.
