‘New Landscape Concepts’ focus of Oct. 1 Floretum Garden Club workshop

The Edmonds Floretum Garden Club invites the public to the first in a series of garden workshops, from 10 a.m.- noon Saturday, Oct. 1 at Coldwell Banker Bain, 108 5th Ave. S.

Zsofia Pasztor, founder and owner of Innovative Landscape Technologies, will speak about “New Landscape Concepts,” with a focus on environmentally friendly design plans for gardeners who want their gardens to be wildlife-friendly and minimize the use of water.

Among the ideas she will discuss: Compost Soxx to make steep slopes easy to garden, urban vegetable gardens, places for chickens in the garden and replacement ideas for lawns.
