Retired Edmonds teacher invites community to book signing

Paddy Eger

Community members are invited to stop by Maplewood K-8 School today from 4:30-7 p.m. or at the Edmonds Book Shop Saturday between noon and 1:30 p.m. to meet Paddy Eger, a retired Edmonds teacher who has written a book about using volunteers in classrooms.

“Educating America: 101 Strategies for Adult Assistants in K-8 Classrooms,” was published in late June.  “It’s a guide of tried and true practices for helping in classrooms,” Eger said. “I’m passionate about the value of classroom assistants.

Maplewood is located at 8500 200th St. S.W. in Edmonds. People are invited to drop in, pick up a book, have a light snack and spend a few minutes taking with educators and volunteers.

More information is available on Eger’s website.
