It’s a beautiful day for photography, Edmonds! The Rotary Club of Edmonds is sponsoring its fourth annual Photomarathon. Registration begins at 9 a.m. today, Sept. 10 at the Spanish Café, 111 W. Dayton.
Bring a digital camera and your imagination. At registration, each participant will learn, for the first time, the six topics around which this year’s pictures will be grouped. They will then have from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to take pictures — in and around the city of Edmonds — which best represent the topics selected. Last year’s topics included “Things that make you smile” along with others such as “I love a rainy day” and “On the move.”
Pictures, which are emailed or otherwise submitted electronically by the 4 p.m. deadline, will be evaluated by juried artists over the next few days, and winners will be notified. Prizes are awarded by category and best in show.
Bring family and friends and make a real day of it in Edmonds. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Edmonds, which provides scholarships to Edmonds students and humanitarian benefits in the local community and around the world.
