Edmonds-area fire calls for Oct. 13-19

Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 327 calls the week of Oct. 13-19: 259 emergency medical aid calls, 24 motor vehicle collisions, 10 fires, eight service calls, one natural gas leaks, one hazardous materials response and 24 automatic fire alarms. The following calls took place in or near Edmonds:

Oct. 14
COLLISION:  At 12:20 p.m., firefighters transported one person to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a head-on collision at the entrance to a business in the 24300 block of Highway 99 in Edmonds.

COLLISION:  At 6:68 p.m., three vehicles collided on northbound I-5 at exit 181-A in Lynnwood. Firefighters transported two people with minor injuries to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

Oct. 16
COLLISION:  At 4:51 p.m., two cars and a motorcycle were involved in a collision in the 4700 block of 212th Street Southwest in Mountlake Terrace.  The motorcyclist was injured and was transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

Oct. 17
COLLISION:  At 8:15 a.m., a motorcycle lost control at the intersection of Highway 99 and SR-525 north of Lynnwood.  Firefighters transported the injured motorcyclist to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.

Oct. 18
COLLISION: At 6:10 a.m., a four-car collision was reported on southbound I-5 south of the 196th Street Southwest exit.  Firefighters transported two patients to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
