Edmonds-Woodway junior gets ticket to first bite of Dick’s Edmonds burger

Devan Simpson -- the EWHS "orange ticket" winner at the site of the new Edmonds Dick's Drive-In on Highway 99.

Edmonds-Woodway High School junior Devan Simpson won Sunday’s Dick’s Drive-In Orange Ticket contest by being the first E-W student to arrive at the site of the new Edmonds Dick’s Drive-In, scheduled to open before Thanksgiving.

The drive-in has set aside tickets for all Edmonds School District high schools, and Simpson was guided by two clues that @DicksDriveInns sent out via Twitter Sunday afternoon. The first clue: Only Warriors can win, so bring ur high school ID. The second clue: 6pm Edmonds-Woodway Warriors at new Edmonds Dick’s Drive-In — Password: Girls basketball

Simpson will be one of 12 lucky fans who will be the first to sink their teeth into a Dick’s burger at the grand opening of the new Edmonds drive-in. Dick’s is revealing clues and a special password through Facebook and Twitter. Orange Ticket winners will play a special part in the grand opening celebration this fall at the Edmonds Dicks, including prizes and a photo with Dick Spady, president and co-founder of Dick’s Drive-Ins.
