Ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday for Edmonds community solar project

The public is invited to a ribbon-cutting ceremony this Wednesday afternoon for the rooftop solar project sponsored by the Edmonds Community Solar Cooperative, the first community-owned solar cooperative in Western Washington. The newly launched project, a partnership between the community solar cooperative and Tangerine Power, is now generating power for the City of Edmonds-owned Frances Anderson Center.

The ceremony will be at 1:30 p.m. in the Plaza Room of the Edmonds Library Building, 650 Main Street. Speaking will be Edmonds Mayor Mike Cooper, City Councilmember DJ Wilson, Edmonds Community Solar Cooperative Interim President Chris Herman and project developer Stanley Florek, CEO of Tangerine Power.
