Edmonds Election 2011: Latest City Council election results

Edmonds City Councilmember Diane Buckshnis’ lead over challenger Bob Wilcox narrowed slightly while citizen activist Joan Bloom increased her advantage over incumbent City Councilmember DJ Wilson in the latest election results released by the Snohomish County Election and Voter Registration Office Saturday.

Buckshnis now has 6,963 votes, compared to 6,835 for Wilcox, and Bloom has 6,710 votes to Wilson’s 6,638.

Incumbent Lora Petso widened her lead over challenger Darlene Stern, with 6,595 votes to Stern’s 6,541.

Another vote count will be released at 5 p.m. Tuesday, the county election office said.

  1. If the counting was finished today, which it isn’t as there are still a couple thousand to be counted, there would be a recount for Position 7 because the difference between the candidates is less than 0.5%.
